On the road to Brands Hatch
To provide you with more time the V-WTCC Team has decided to extend the online ranking qualifications for Brands Hatch with one more week. This affects both the V-WTCC Ranking and the Yokohama Independents' Trophy Demo Ranking.
We start off with the Yokohama Independents' Trophy and its Demo Ranking. On the top of the list sits Bastien Bartsch with a BMW and a laptime that is only a fraction of a second slower than that of Vincent Staal, who is the leader of the V-WTCC BMW Ranking as we speak. Both drivers have achieved a laptime that is faster than 1.32, thereby breaking a barrier previously considered unbeatable.
The Seat ranking is once again dominated by the mysterious Baron Rouge, who has won both previous Seat ranking competitions already, but has yet to show his face in the Brand Cup Races. Maybe the third time is the charm? Not only does he lead the ranking of his favorite car, the seat, but he also is on top of the ranking of Chevrolet, with a slightly slower laptime though.
On top of the Honda ranking we find Schumi.Fan, also known as Roman Meier. Meier had already participated in previous Brand Cup Races, but had not managed to claim an invitation to a Semi-Final. Maybe he'll be able to tip the balance in his favor this time.
We'll see how these top shots manage as more people join the ranks and attempt to beat their laptimes.
