Final Straws for Brands Hatch
We're in the middle of the final week of the Brands Hatch online qualifications and the heat is on. With the Demo Ranking closed since last night, Bastien Bartsch will enter Thursday's Demo Race as the big favorite. In the V-WTCC Ranking the action is still on. Let's see the scores!
In the BMW Ranking, the fastest ranking of the moment, Vincent Staal still holds on to that top position, but the competition has drawn closer. Florian Denard, former Brand Cup Winner and Semi-Finalist, has joined Staal and Säfström in the 1.31s and holds third place as we speak. It looks like Mattieu Prevot, winner of the previous two BMW Rankings, is not going to score the hattrick this time, as he is in fifth position.
The one that is looking good to score a hattrick is Baron Rouge, who leads the Seat Ranking for the third time in a row. However, he did lose his top position in the Chevrolet Ranking to former Semi-Finalist Jacques Bonet, who takes the lead for the first time.
Finally we check upon the Honda Ranking were Roman Meier is still the man to beat, as he has been for the last two weeks. Who will challenge him?
The Yokohama Independents' Trophy Demo Race is held this Thursday and the V-WTCC Brand Cup Races are scheduled for this Sunday. Stay tuned for the latest news and results about these final events in the online qualification for Brands Hatch.
